Vincencia “Vee” Adusei

Vincencia “Vee” Adusei is the President of VASE Management, which focuses on Construction Management and Real Estate Development. Vincencia grew up in a construction family in Ghana, West Africa. She often states that she was happiest growing up when her parents, who ran a construction company in Ghana specializing in road work, would let her sit in the company pickup truck's bed and go out to a job. Her parents overcame tremendous obstacles to succeed in a newly formed nation. Vincencia learned her grit and perseverance from watching her family strive for excellence no matter the challenge. Most of her siblings have also gone into construction in Ghana.

Besides learning her grit and perseverance from her parents, Vincencia also learned about community and social responsibility. For example, her parents would pay for other families' education, healthcare, housing, food, and transportation. Their willingness to help the community sowed the seed for Vincencia to become involved in community organizations such as the Fairfield County Community Foundation, Housatonic Community College Foundation, Greater Bridgeport Community Enterprises, and CT Against Violence.  She works tirelessly to help disadvantaged small-, minority- and women-owned start-ups organize, obtain capital, get work, and provide ongoing support. As a result of her efforts, over 1,000 businesses, contractors, and agencies achieved more than $100 million in contracts. She also encourages women to go into the construction business.

Whiles providing support to businesses, particularly those businesses in the construction trades, Vincencia’s love for construction emerged. She was good at site observation, meeting owners’ objectives, cost estimating, planning, scheduling, and project management. In 2013, she put these skills to work on her first construction management job, overseeing the Riverside Public Housing Development demolition in Ansonia, Connecticut.

Since 2013, Vincencia has expanded her operations from consulting to construction management to real estate development. As a Construction Manager/General Contractor, Vincencia’s clients include the Housing Authority of the City of New Haven, Yale University, the U.S. Department of Housing (HUD), the Town of Fairfield, the City of Milford, the Housing Authority of the City of Ansonia, the Norwalk Redevelopment Agency, Operation Hope of Fairfield, Rowayton Senior Housing, and the Town of Bethany, to name a few.

Vincencia has effectively executed multi-million-dollar projects ahead of schedule and within budget. Yale University stated that her "skills and coordinating a competent workforce and managing the project from start to finish had been run flawlessly and without issue.”  Vincencia is committed to caring about her projects, their owners, and those affected - including all neighbors and occupants.

Her team at VASE includes experienced in-house architects and project managers. Vincencia is currently working on renovating 214 apartment units for the Housing Authority of the City of New Haven, as well as renovations for Achievement First, Yale University, and the Town of Fairfield. VASE has also invested in historic apartment buildings in the City of Hartford currently under renovations.

Vincencia is devoted to creating top-tier living environments and better/stronger communities as a builder/developer. She has received numerous business awards, including the SmartCEO Corporate Culture Award in NY, and awards from the National Association of Women in Construction, Home Builders Association, and the Greater New England Minority Supplier Development Council.  She has repeatedly been recognized by public office holders and institutions like CT State Senator Jim Himes, U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal, former Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch, Bridgeport Department of Police, and the Fairfield County Business Journal for her community inclusion approach to its work.

Vincencia earned her Master of Business (M.B.A) from the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut.
